I’m a great woman for dishing up the same dinners and lunches and getting into a slump. Unfortunately kids tend to get into a slump too and essentially get bored with what’s being served. Sometimes just changing the way you serve food can increase interest and appetites!
These little buns can be made as a loaf, cake or muffins just adjust your cooking time and basically keep and eye on the oven if you change the quantity!
These are a firm favourites with baby, toddler and adults in this house. They are easy to make, they hold for a couple of days in the fridge and do freeze although I must admit they are best fresh.
My pastry preference is puff pastry and I particularly like the Aldi one straight from the fridge not the freezer found in the butter section in a green wrapper. Be careful not to accidentally pick up the blue pack of short crust pastry you want the Green Puff pastry.
If you’ve been reading my previous posts or following me for some time you know I’m not an advocate of anything specific or think one type of parenting, feeding, weaning, etc. Is better then the next I like to take the merits of every approach and apply them as best I can to my families lifestyle. Nothing extreme and as I mentioned previously no terrorist parenting allowed!!
Baby rice has traditionally been the first choice for parents to start their transition onto solids but baby rice is highly processed and very high in carbohydrates. It’s much more beneficial to start weaning with very small amounts of naturally nutritious foods.
Weaning Your Baby onto Solid Foods
Weaning means gradually introducing a range of solid foods to your baby until they are eating the same food as the rest of your family. As your baby eats more solids, they will want less milk. An important part of weaning is to develop muscles associated with oromotor skills and speech. It also helps with the development of hand to mouth coordination.
Food Glorious Food!!! None of my personal weaning post are going to be advising you on what age, when you should start or what you should be weaning your child. Weaning is totally up to you I’ve two children to worrie about and thats plenty for me to be making decisions for. You decide for your own.
