I’m pretty pragmatic generally gifting and love if I know what someone wants in the first place and then get that for them rather than just buying “stuff” for the sake of not being empty-handed. I’m also a huge voucher fan for young and old. My top fives include gifts I’ve already bought for this Christmas 2018 and items I love and would love to see the boys getting. Every item comes in under €50 i think. Pair them up together if your on a bigger budget.
I’m a great woman for dishing up the same dinners and lunches and getting into a slump. Unfortunately kids tend to get into a slump too and essentially get bored with what’s being served. Sometimes just changing the way you serve food can increase interest and appetites!
These little buns can be made as a loaf, cake or muffins just adjust your cooking time and basically keep and eye on the oven if you change the quantity!
These are a firm favourites with baby, toddler and adults in this house. They are easy to make, they hold for a couple of days in the fridge and do freeze although I must admit they are best fresh.
My pastry preference is puff pastry and I particularly like the Aldi one straight from the fridge not the freezer found in the butter section in a green wrapper. Be careful not to accidentally pick up the blue pack of short crust pastry you want the Green Puff pastry.
If you’ve been reading my previous posts or following me for some time you know I’m not an advocate of anything specific or think one type of parenting, feeding, weaning, etc. Is better then the next I like to take the merits of every approach and apply them as best I can to my families lifestyle. After a week’s blissful staycation in Dingle it’s the topic on a lot of my followers lips. I post plenty on my stories so you saw us eating out allot and it thankfully was very successful. For me to describe an eatery as child friendly, it means I’ve had a successful meal there with my boys. By successful it must involve me eating a full meal at a normal pace, a meal I consciously ordered and I’m not leaving the building sweating, crying or embarrassed.
