She wants you to text ahead and arrange a visit on her terms at a time that suits her. Child birth and becoming a mum first time, second time, eight time is overwhelming and comes with an enormous feeling of total lack of control. So naturally being in control of when and who she spends her time with is hugely important. For me this time I’m also considering Ned and how much disruption there will be to his little life all of a sudden so that too will play a part in when and who I want calling.
Bless, you don’t quite get what that means and you think your GREAT at eight, nine months pregnant and still thropping along! You’ll literally never get this time again. People aren’t just being kind! Rest!
I’m not big into buying a lot of snack foods for NED. I prefer to bake or offer him whatever’s going. Fruit, cheese,hu yougurt that kind of thing but you have to have a little stock of packets when out and about or when the groceries aren’t done! I take a pretty realistic and practical approach to parenting. Although it is is now a total taboo to even say, I believe sometimes you just need a little convenience food in your life. I know, Stop the presses…..Bad mother alert 😄!
Vintage and shabby chic is very much my home decor style. I love the old the upcycled and the restored. Floral prints and quaint patterns. My wedding day was a vintage tea party with teacup centre pieces, teapot cake, baby’s breath bouquets and lace ribbon as far as the eye could see. Continue reading
How is it possible that little Mulligan has turned four. She was once just a thought and then a reality and then hard work!! Now she’s family!
After a lifetime of being an animal lover and four years a dog owner in Ireland, I’m always searching for a dog friendly day out or venue. Unfortunately our country seems to fall short in obliging facilities. Whilst many don’t boast to be dog friendly yet are perfectly fine and welcoming, if you do chance your arm, others are comically and dramatically against any four legged friend near their premises. This attitude amuses me no end and disappoints,as I can safely say Mulligan is cleaner and better behaved than Ned! There is even a Manor House Cafe, on the grounds of one of the most popular dog walking areas locally, that won’t allow dogs in the cafe courtyard not to mention inside the door. Continue reading

Ned absolutely devoured this bad boy! It was simple to make and convenient in the little NomNom kids pouches. He gobbled it all independently. Smoothies are a great way of using fruit and getting a portion or two into a toddler who has decided they don’t like fruit this week and you’ve bought loads thinking othe wise! Continue reading
